Daylight Saving Time is Upon Us

Daylight Saving Time is upon us tonight - Sunday, March 12th, 2017 at 2am.  Don't forget to turn your "non-smart" clocks forward an hour.

I like to remind myself with, the following which helps me remember which direction to turn the clocks to.

"Spring" forward into action, and "Fall" back to sleep.

Happy Cinco de Mayo

Have a Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone - Cinco de Mayo is a most excellent American party!  If you thought it was a Mexican celebration, you would only be partially right.  "Cinco de Mayo is a bigger celebration in the U.S. than in Mexico."  Wouldn't it have been been epic if Cico de Mayo also landed on Taco Tuesday this year?  Cinco de Mayo is also a great time to recover from the Star Wars May the 4th Be With You celebrations (or dig yourself further in depending on your choice of activities).

Blood Moon

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday, October 8th, 2014), there will be a "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipse. The eclipse will appear from 4:20 am to 5:20 am, with the peak maximum total eclipse appearing at around 4:50 am (for Salt Lake City).

Video Games Live is coming to Utah on September 6th.  Tickets have gone on sale today.  The event is being hosted by the Utah Symphony at the Abravanel Hall.

Not that a 3.2 magnitude earthquake is anything to talk about, but it felt like something to me.  ;-)

"Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.2 earthquake that was felt in the Salt Lake Valley Saturday night.

The incident occurred at about 9:23 p.m., and a follow up press release form the USGS stated the earthquake occurred about 4 miles northeast of Tooele."

Bethany and I believe this may have been the first earthquake either of us can ever remember actually feeling.
